Blackberry ID

I've just purchased a new BB and forgot the original e-mail address that I used on my first BB for BB ID. When I change the e-mail address and password on my PC, I am able to log in, but as soon as I enter the same details on my phone, I get the following message: 'You can't sign in with a different Blackberry ID on this device. Sign in with the original Blackberry ID on this device.'  Nowhere on this site can I find this particular query. Somebody please help.

Hallo, whoever you are!

Thanx so much for the advice. I wiped my phone, and started everything from the beginning. Now all is working again.

Thanx again!

Re: Blackberry ID

Hi, i followed the link you posted for the sticky and I am still not having any luck.  I have reset my BB ID account and reset password/security question.  I can log on to BB through browser but when i try it on my device, i get an error saying "you can't sign in with a different blackberry ID on this device.  Sign in the original BB ID used on this device".  When i hit "forgot password" it lets me answer with my new security question but it will not recoqnize the new password.  Help.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I appreciate that you are extremely frustrated (all caps kind of yells at others, after all), but sadly from your short post we cannot tell exactly what you have tried and exactly what the results are. Consequently, we can't really offer anything additional other than to refer you to what is already in this thread, and request you respond with details and specifics so that we can hope to understand, and from that hope to provide you with useful guidance.

Thanks and let us know!

Re: Blackberry ID

Here's what is happening! I can not update my apps every time I try to update it the BlackBerry ID wants me to sign in, so I do and I get the same message like laylamaus has recieved. I have deleted my BlackBerry ID completely and started over with a new sign in pw. Is there anyone I can go to and have them look at this issue? obviously the guys at Rogers are useless. It's too bad we don't have a walk in tech center for BlackBerry.

OK thank you. The resolution is in the very next post (6) from the one I think you are citing...it has a link to another thread that discusses that exact error message, and exactly what to do about it.
