Dear friends,
Unwanted application icons keep appearing on my Blackberry Curve 8330 screen. NFL, SKYPE Mobile, Bing, etc. are among those that have recently appeared out of nowhere. But they do NOT appear on my applications list, so I can't delete them.
I've called Verizon and they said they'd put me on a "do not send" list, but offered no help on how to delete the ones I alread have.
They suggested that I "activate" the application so it will appear on my applications list, and them delete it. I tried that, but the application icon still shows up on my screen.
Can you offer any advice? My Blackberry screen is fast filling up with applications I didn't ask for, nor do I need.
Many thanks,
Caplitcka

You really can't delete them -- easily. This is simpler:
Do this: create a folder on your homescrene and name it "Junk" (you might choose to be even more creative the folder name
). Now, Scroll to each unwanted icon and press the Menu key > Move to Folder and move it to the "Junk" folder. Do that for each you don't want.
Now scroll to that "Junk" folder and select Menu > Hide.
Out of site, out of mind.
Meanwhile, feel free to complain to Verizon or on their user forums.

I recently had that problem and you can go to options>advanced options>Service book. The service book lists all the active apps and hit the blackberry menu button to delete
