By uninstalling it. I downloaded the trial once, can't remember if it was last phone, 9700, or my current 9900. Anyway that symbol wouldn't go away even after I uninstalled it, but just try to reinstall and uninstall a couple of times with a batt pull after the reboot App World asks for. I think I ended up leaving it there for a day or two before disappearing by itself. It will go away if the app is not there, but not always instantly.

I have not installed BB Travel. The only one i installed recently was a Free GPS App named BTC mapper. Do you mean i should try and uninstall this?

Is there a list of common notifications symbols anywhere in the help of BB? I remember seeing it when I got my first BB but I can't find it any longer.

Then, what does snap secure or smart guard mean? I have a yellow star on my bar too!

So you have never installed the free version of snap secure/smrt guard? Sounds like you haven't.
Then maybe you should try uninstalling BTC mapper, just to see what happens. And its free so you can just reinstall it if it was not the cause.

Yes, scroll up in this thread and see the very first post.

There's one in your BlackBerry user guide, but the image above combines even more notifications than in the user guide, and the user guide does not include third party app icons.

Thanks for the reply.  The best advice I got was to unhide all of my hidden icons (show all), which revealed the pesky notification.  And wouldn't you know, it was some kind of notice about a St. Patrick's Day something on my Flaslight App.  Whatever!  Thanks for the feedback.
