Re: I accidentally deleted my BlackBerry ID. When I try to set up a new account with my old username, it says it's already taken. How do I get back my old (deleted) username? Or how long do I have to wait until it becomes available again?

i have the same problem anyone can help me. i forgot my blackberry id and the answer to the security ro reset my pasword. i chek my email and i accidentally click the delete this account beacause of my internet connection. i create another account it says you need to log on your original blackberry id.

Hello,

While you've paraphrased the error message, I deduce that you are using now a different BBID on your device than the original one. As such, you must WIPE your BB...once a BB is associated to a BBID, a WIPE is required to change that association.

Good luck!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

If, as you say, you deleted your BBID, then you also deleted any backups it may have of your data. Your only chance is if you properly deleted your BBID via the "destroy" link in the original confirmation email you received when you originally created it. If that is how you deleted your BBID, then now attempt to re-create it using the exact same credentials...if you are very lucky, the backups may be recovered. Note please that this is not likely...but perhaps worth a try.

Good luck!
