Re: [IMPORTANT] Problem with Google Mail (GMail & Google Apps)

I set up my gmail with POP3 (after deleting and re-setting account). There does not appear to be any improvement. Though I did get an email within about 2 minutes of a test, I have also had delays of over 20 minutes (in very limited testing). I'll go with this for a day and see if there's any general improvement. I was getting several-hour delays on Sunday, so 20 minutes doesn't seem too bad in this context.

But if course I hope this will all go away and things will return to normal, that is, I'll get my gmail nearly instantly on all my various platforms, including my Bold.

Re: [IMPORTANT] Problem with Google Mail (GMail & Google Apps)

We're using Google Apps a.k.a. Google Enterprise services for The Company

All of a sudden mails started to get delivered with around 20 minutes to 2 hours of delays starting form 5th of January

The problem does not exist any more as of 8th of January 2013 5am GMT however as an Enterprise Customer I directly contacted with Google Support. The answers provided by Google is dramatic. It seems like Google has officially made move to kill Blackberry by shooting from the heart; instant email delivery

Comments from the support team seems to be templates

The weird thing is that Google seems to be measuring reaction from customers by shutting the switch on and off

Re: [IMPORTANT] Problem with Google Mail (GMail & Google Apps)

Folks, its not just Gmail I'm afraid. I have been having these problems with a gmail account using the Enhanced plug ins for 3 days, but not with another using the old Gmail app, so yesterday in complete frustration with Google active sync support withdrawal, mentioned by other here,  I set up a new Outlook.com addy. All was good yesterday the gmail was not receiving messages but the new Outlook one was instantaneous. Joy overflowing, then today the old gmail one goes back to normal, so it wasn't cos of them withdrawing support after all. And then blow me down if the new outlook one hasn't gone the same way tonight. No received messages for 3 hours even though I can see them on a PC, done Service books and battery pulls. Nothing. Yet both the gmail ,and gmail app are instantaneous again.
I now firmly believe Blackberry are having wider network problems again, and also keeping schtum about it again like last year. Waiting for the network to collapse and more free/worthless apps as an apology. I'm about to upgrade and was going to get another Berry, don't want to go to crApple or Andread but starting to think the unthinkable...

Re: [IMPORTANT] Problem with Google Mail (GMail & Google Apps)

do you really need to have your emails delivered instantaneously 365/365 ?

I'm happy with 360/365 honestly.

I do hope you're being ironic? Otherwise I have to assume you either don't have to run a business/earn a living, or keep a demanding lover happy :-)

Re: [IMPORTANT] Problem with Google Mail (GMail & Google Apps)

Oh and I have had some send problems too now on both gmail and outlook, which bounced with the message General System Error. Does this help anyone more techy than me pin down the reasons for this?

Hello phx7,

your inquiry is about GMail emails. The reply from the Google Support team is this link, that is an article about GMail contacts and Google Calendar.

Those are not related to GMail emails (at all).
