Is it possible and if so how?

I am a Verizon Wireless member that wants to upgrade to the Blackerry 8330 Curve or the Blackberry 9000. The problem is that Verizon Wireless only carries it in silver, but I want it in black. As for the Blackberry 9000 they do not currently carry it at all. So my question is can I purchase either one of these in black from Blackberry and still be able to use it with my Verizon Wireless account? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK, as long as any phone you intend to purchase:

 

  1. Works in a CDMA network (what Verizon uses; AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM networks, which are incompatible), and
  2. Is not locked to any other carrier,

 

it should work.
