I have the Blackberry Curve, the carrier is AT&T.  Usu when I send a message be it email or text, it is indicated by a red check mark if it was successfully sent. One recent message had a "D" to the left of the checkmark. Does anyone know what this means? Delivered? Delayed? I cant find any answers in the manual.

'D' means delivered?. BlackBerry can also show 'R' which means read.

Go to Messages -> Options -> Email Settings -> Confirm Read: Yes

This will only work if the receiver of the mail allows sending read receipt to others.

The "D" suggests that you sent a PIN message.  These show a "D" upon successful delivery.

if you ever forget the meaning of the little pictures, you can open the message you've sent (PIN, SMS or email) and look at it's "Message Status, it's written in words : "Sent", "Delivered" and so on.
