Thanks again fmendes. I downloaded the BlackBerry Flasher but it shows the same result that is, "The Blackberry desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator. ".
I had installed the Blackberry OS version 5.0.0 for my Blackberry Curve 8520 that is, File name: 8520wifiM_PBr5.0.0_rel1728_PL5.2.0.96_A5.0.0.1067_AT_T.exe. I think I have not downloaded the required version of the Blackberry OS. How can I confirm this?

Another alternative is, try download the OS that is not a carrier OS. Uninstall the existing OS on your computer and install the OS you download. Then run the process all over again.
Best of luck ![]()

How can I do this? From where should I download a No carrier OS? I have presently downloaded the OS from the blackberry website : https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry
But all the Blackberry Curve 8520 OS's given in this link are Carrier OS's.

My phone battery became swollen a few days ago, so it barely had any lifespan. Yesterday when the battery died, it refused to turn on, no red light or nothing, even when i charge it or use another battery..HELPPPP!!!! ( Im new to this forum)
