My Device: Bold 9790

Not Happy

I have just changed providers for my small company using 6 mobiles. We wanted to change from Curves to the Torch 9810, but were told these are now obsolete on the O2 network provider, so i asked for a suggested model and was told Bold 9790, so we have 6 nof these now.  I have to say, that compared to my old curve, it is smaller, fiddlier, battery last about a day instead of 5 days, complex and not able to switch to wifi in a low signal area.  If the Torch is no longer available why is it still being advertised on the Blackberry webpage, it looks a much more substantial model, for industrial use, instead of this 9790, which feels like a domestic model.

1. This is a user-to-user community support forum. We are not RIM employees, but volunteers who enjoy assisting other users. RIM personnel rarely comment on queries posted here.

 

2. The 9810 is still the latest Torch device offered by RIM. I suppose your O2 provider might not be selling them any longer. That's too bad, it is a great device. I'd push for a better answer, I bet they still have some around.
