What features work with wi-fi ?

Hi,

I currently have no BIS on my curve 8520. I do have a wi-fi connection though.

I thought that everything on the phone would thus work normally as long as I have wi-fi.

But I see my email doesn't work as well as some other applications like google maps.

Anyone know what does/doesn't work with wi-fi on the phone ?

Thanks

Re: What features work with wi-fi ?

Most of the features on your phone are associated with BIS: email, BBM, App World, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Everything associated with BIS requires BIS in order to work, even over Wi-Fi. So as you can see, you won't be accessing anything of any importance without BIS.

I hope that helps you. :smileyhappy:

Thanks for the reply.

My APP World works though, which is weird.....

Kinda sucks that you need BIS for most stuff though; any way around this via settings etc ???

Thanks

No.  That's the way your BlackBerry and the BIS service is set up.
