What "Synchronization Options > Deleted Items" do ?

On my OS7 BB Curve 9320 I have this option I do not undestand in Email Options > Account Management > Synchronization Options >

These are listed :

Calendar

Contacts

Deleted items

What happens if if I check Deleted items ? Does the phone deletes the emails that are deleted on my PC or though IMAP client\ Gmail etc or does the email server deletes the emails when I delete them on my smartphone, wich way it is ? Same for the Contacts and Calendar.

Please use plain text.

Re: What "Synchronization Options > Deleted Items" do ?

Hello,

Normally, anytime those options are available they mean that, if activated, full 2-way synchronization of those items will be enabled between your BB device and your email server -- your email client is not relevant to this, except perhaps as it affects (or is affected by) your email server. These settings are strictly between your server and your BB.

So, changes (add, edit, delete) you make to either side (your BB or your server) will be reflected to the other side. If, for example, an email item is removed from your email server, then activation of this will cause that item to also be removed from your BB...with the reverse also being true.

Hope that helps!
