Which functions of Outlook 2010 will sync?

Hi from a pre-newbie:smileyhappy:

"Pre-" because I haven't bought a Blackberry yet, but am seriously considering it.  One big thing that's really important to me, though.........

Which "bits" of Outlook 2010 can I sync with a Blackberry?  To be specific, I really want to sync the following Outlook 2010 features with the equivalent application in the Blackberry:

Calendar

Contacts

Tasks

Notes would be desirable, but not essential.  Email, also, is desirable but not essential (I can use web access to it when I'm on the road).

I should point out that my Outlook 2010 runs stand-alone on my desktop PC, and is not connected to Exchange.

Could a Blackberry, with its associated desktop software, meet my needs?

Many thanks in advance for any comments.

Make sure it is Outlook 2010, 32-bit, not the 64-bit package.

Yes, on all four of the above.

No on email, on a personal BIS account. BES will reconcile your email, but a personal BIS plan will not.

You will setup your email to push to the BlackBerry device directly from your email server.

Re: Which functions of Outlook 2010 will sync?

Perfect answer!  Thank you!

Yes, I'm running Outlook 2010 32-bit, so it sounds like it should all be fine.

Right, then, now I have to choose which model...........

Thanks again, Guru III.

Sync-ing with Outlook 2011 & What BB go for?

Hi Dear,

I have a similar question, and I hope someone might help me figure out the answer to my question:

I'm just about to go for a BB, but I really have to figure out a few things beforehand. As I'm new to BB, please excuse my dumb questions...

1. How's thorough & comfortable is the Sync-ing between BB and PST-Files generated by MS Outlook 2011? RIM says their BB will sync with Outlook, but I really need a device 100% compatible, managing several phone numbers, emails, synch-ing as well categories for each contact I've got in Outlook, the full range of it: I'm working with more than 2000 Contacts in my Outlook that I daily need, I can't allow myself to make-do what the Sync-ing tool possibly doesn't achieve by itself...

I tried Android & KIES (Sync-ing tool), but there's basically only an exporting feature of all Data from Outlook to Kies, and then a Sync feature between Kies and the Smartphone, no Sync-ing back and forth to & with Outlook. + the Categories are not Sync-ed, which I cannot afford.

2. Taken the prerequisit explained above, are there any BBs to prefer, or do all perform just as fine & thoroug with syncing? The additional options I'd like but are not necessary are the following: GPS / Dual SIM

Thanks for your precious help! :Flowers:
