The Device Switch Wizard is THE BEST method to use to actually switch devices. It will do everything necessary to shift to a new BB. I don't know if the wizard still exists in the latest Desktop Software or not (the KB has not been updated).
If you WIPE, your data will indeed be wiped out...that is a necessary side effect of needing to WIPE in order to remove the associated BB ID on the device. But I can't tell, from what you said, if you need to do a WIPE or not. You didn't answer my question on that point...like you, I don't want to assume anything.

So, is that BB ID the one you need it to be? If not, you have to do a device WIPE to change to the BB ID you want to associate with this BB.
If everything remains on your old BB, you can therefore WIPE this one and use the Device Switch Wizard, which will then take this one (cleansed) and migrate everything over to this one from your old one.
Or am I missing something to your situation? If, for instance, you've already had your carrier migrate your BIS account over to this new BB, then that might complicate matters a bit...it's cleanest to use the Wizard from start to finish.

OK...so where are we now? Let me see...
The new BB has configured into it the BB ID you need. Check.
BIS-level services...working or not? I'm not sure anymore...I think you were having trouble with one email account, but the other is OK? If so, then I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
3) Batt Pull Reboot
As for other BIS services, I don't think you've reported on those yet...
