Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Failing that, the customer service numbers you would have been contacting are not RIM...rather, they are your original place of purchase, your mobile service provider, or an authorized service center. RIM provides no front like support direct to consumers...all front line support starts with one of the above, and they can escalate into RIM if needed. But, as independent entities, they each set their own business hours and methods of obtaining service.

From the rest of your description, if the batt-pull reboot does not work, you will definitely need to talk to your mobile service provider...if you cannot even make proper voice calls, then something is definitely wrong that they need to rectify.
