When I create a MainScreen in 4.7, I see a 'navigation' bar across the bottom that, by default, is populated with scroll buttons. I notice that some apps put up to three more buttons into that area.
How can I do that in my app? Can someone point me to the official name for that bar and/or the api that controls it?
I had a look through the 4.7 developer's guide, but it appears to be silent on this.

RIM decided not to expose the toolbar class in the API.
If you are seeing the "default" toolbar at the bottom of your MainScreen object, this is actually a bug in the first beta of the 4.7 simulator. Upgrade to the current version and this will go away.
You'll need to invent your own ToolbarField class.

Ok, where do I get the latest? I'm currently running 126.96.36.199 and that's the version that it claims is the one you can download when I go to the

Are you referring to the JDE version or the Simulator OS version?
I'm running 188.8.131.52 JDE and 184.108.40.206 Simulator. I do not see the issue on this setup.
On the previous JDE (I beleive was 220.127.116.11) the problem existed.
If you download the latest JDE version, it has the corrected simulator attached already.

Ah, thanks, that's the ticket... I am running JDE 18.104.22.168. I downloaded the simulator (22.214.171.124) separately.
Unfortunately, the latest standalone simulator you can download is 0.41.
This is going to be a problem if my clients can't get a version of the simulator without this bug to test with.

I go here:
and download and install the JDE 4.7 Beta
and the result is that I'm back to where I started... with JDE 126.96.36.199.
I cannot find a link for the JDE version that you have.
