907 invalid cod - one more post of this error.

Hi,

First, I'm posting this after going through the forum and trying the available solutions in other posts.

My situation is the following:

I've developed a midlet (with no access to BB special API) and want to get it installed in a BB 8110, preferably signed (already got the keys) so it doesn't warn me about untrusted content. The midlet installs fine without using cod and via OTA but this isn't an option due to the not trusted alert.

I've followed the steps in the link:

http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800901/How_To_-_Compi...

to convert the jad/jar to cod.

Then I followed the steps in:

http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800989/How_To_-_Sign_...

to get the cod signed with the keys I've received from RIM.

Now, I can't manage to get it to work, no matter what I do. I've read through:

http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgecenterpublic/livelink.exe/fetch/2000/348583/800901/What_Is_-_Appr...

and tried using different JDE versions: 4.6.0, 4.3.0 and 4.2.1. The device version is 4.3.0.93. I've tried signed and unsigned and ALWAYS get the "907 Invalid Cod" error. I'm deploying the files to my server to upload to the device via OTA and the cod, jar and jad mimetypes are correct in the server.

What can I be doing wrong? I'm running out of options here...

Thanks

How big is your COD file? Please see the following article for possible causes of the 907 error:

Re: 907 invalid cod - one more post of this error.

Hi Sarim,

I've tried with 2 differed cods. Mine is around 80K. This one isn't zipped (can't open it with any unzip software).

Also tried with the MidletDemo from the JDE (around 4K). None of them work.

I've already seen that article (sorry, didn't mention it in the original post) and none of that applies.

Any ideas? Can it be something broken with the device?

Are you able to load the cod files via USB?  Can you provide a link to your application (JAD & COD)?
