About backdoorCode, is there any good idea?

Hi All,

I want to implement a back door sequence event on my application, however,

When I do

protected boolean openDevelopmentBackdoor(int backdoorCode){ int caseCode = 'L'<<16|'O'<<8|'G' System..out.println("RIM Code " + backdoorCode) switch(backdoorCode){ case 'L'<<16|'O'<<8|'G': System.out.println("this is a test") } return super.open.....(); }

the code that rim return is different from differenct HandHeld,

it works on 32 QWERTY device, it does  not work on 81XX or 71XX simulator.

I know it is causeed by keyboard code.

what is the best way to do it? do I need to check device OS or keylayout?

Thanks

You can use the Keypad.getHardwareLayout() method to determine whether the BlackBerry handheld has a full qwerty keyboard or a reduced SureType keyboard.
