About the Code Signing Key

I had a signing key, and I install it on my computer, now I had buy a new lapbook, also I want to use signing key on my lapbook, that's question, I need buy a new one of signing key? or just use the old one?

yes , copy the file sigtool.set from path

 

with me: -> C:\Programme\Research In Motion\BlackBerry JDE 4.5.0\bin

 

to the path on your new laptop.Rename the orginal file or overwrite it.It works fine

I know copy the file sigtool.set, but I hear somebody say If use the Code Signing Key one serveral comptuer the RIM will close your key?

I've moved my keys from one machine to another, and the "key police" haven't said anything to me yet. Smiley Happy

 

My understanding is that you can move from one machine to another, but you need a separate set for each developer.

 

This makes sense anyway - you wouldn't want to be blamed for a malicious program that was written by another guy you "loaned" they keys to.
