Accelerometer-Sensor Question

Hello,

with the new Accelerometer Sensor on the Storm, is it possible to set the Orientation to just Landscape so that it does not change if you move the device? Is there an API that can do that?

If your question was answered, please accept it as a sollution and / or give Kudos ;-)

Re: Accelerometer-Sensor Question

This is possible.  Please see the "Touch screen direction" of the BlackBerry Java Development Environment Development Guide found at the link below for an example.

Re: Accelerometer-Sensor Question

Thank you for that link!

But that is only possible for the own application? So it is not possible to set it device-wide (even when leaving the application with UiApplication.getApplication().requestBackground() or so?)

Re: Accelerometer-Sensor Question

Correct, this would only apply to your application.  It isn't possible to set the orientation of other applications.
