ActiveRichTextField + StringPatternRepository but how to make local links?

Hello,

Especially software development advisors at RIM. I have a need to place links inside my text view (for example my (ActiveRich)TextField) like e.g. my ride pointing to some url. From what I got to know it is possible by making custom StringPattern subclasses. The problem is that as soon as it is in the StingPatternRepository it appears everywhere highlighted, not only in the target text view.

How can this be restricted or is it the wrong aproach?

Please use plain text.

Re: ActiveRichTextField + StringPatternRepository but how to make local links?

The StingPatternRepository applies to the entire BlackBerry smartphone.  There is no support for adding a StringPattern to a specific field or application.  If you need support for this in a single field it would require the creation of a custom field.

Re: ActiveRichTextField + StringPatternRepository but how to make local links?

After the StingPatternRepository applied to smartphone, is there any way to handle the matched string in ActiveRichTextField, for example, set different forecolor or background clolor to the matched string if the string is a web site address?
