Re: Any other developers on Linux?

I too would really appreciate being able to do BB development in Eclipse and Linux/OSX. I really have no respect for Windows as a development platform (I admire those who can program in it but despise the hoops they have to jump to make things work). Linux is much less of a headache IMHO.

I still have not been able to get BB + Eclipse work under Linux even after reading http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/Eclipse-JDE-Plugin-Linux-a-working-environme... a few times. Best I managed to do is to have eclipse reboot nonstop. As of now I am just feeling rather frustrated: I can put Android SDK/JDK/whatever to work with eclipse in the time it takes to make coffee; why can't I get the BB SDK to work?  I am probably missing a few (i.e. a lot of) steps; I will try again and post each step as I do it.

I can wait a bit though; my BB Curve is currently on loan. :smileyhappy: But, it would make my day to be able to compile one single bloody hello world program.

About https://www.blackberry.com/jira/browse/TOOL-78, it seems to be rather unreachable as of now.
