BIS push is here

[ Edited ]
Didn't see any posts about it yet, so here is the link: http://devblog.blackberry.com/2010/03/introducing-blackberry-push-services-to-developers/
- free and paid tier
- paid tier adds delivery notification and response
- free registration and testing for both tiers
- up to 8kb - point to point, multicast, broadcast
- client- and serverside SDK available (although the pdf says there is no client-side library, we'll see)

Re: BIS push is here

Just finished reading the Dev Blog article.

Off the top of my head I can't think of what I would use this for but I know I have had some ideas that would have required this so I am happy.

The only problem know is I don't have a server.

Re: BIS push is here

does anyone know where there is some sample client side code?

And it looks quite complicated to set up the server. I have a private server to use but no clue how to set this up haha
