as a fully qualified expert i would advise you to use the search function instead of waiting for one of us to answer with a snappy remark about the search function.
for facebook there is a SDK with a sample project called strawberry. even a thread about it on the start page.
for facebook there is no official api, twitter me is often used. I registered my project for x-auth and used that, it is much easier than o-auth (of which you will have plenty when using facebook anyhow).
