Browser Query

hi all,

my application just invokes BB browser with specified URL. if browser is already running, i can get its instance using BrowserSession.

Now suppose i hv a third party browser installed in my device (like Opera mini) and it is also running with the same URL, can i get its instance using BrowserSession?

Re: Browser Query

i think i cant. because i guess that actually third-party browsers like Opera mini, are after all application for BB device and therefore their controlling must be out of scope for BB's Browser API..

m i right? does anyone has a code how to determine whether a browser instance is already running or not?

Re: Browser Query

You are correct.  The browser APIs in the BlackBerry API set refer to the BlackBerry Browser.  Third party browsers would need to provide their own APIs for this type of use.
