Can the event log be accessed as a file?

I know that the API doesn't provide a means to read the event log, but I was wondering if it is actually stored on the device as a file. If it is, then it could be opened and read like any other file. What I would like to do is to be able to send it as an attachment on an email from within a program.

I suspect that it isn't stored as a file, but was wanting to see if anyone else may know.

I'm not a RIM person, so this is not 100% guaranteed, but I'd be confident that it is not a file because it has been available pre FileConnect API and is available on devices with and without SD Cards.

you can use 'javaloader -usb eventlog > eventlog.txt' to get the eventlog from a device connected to your usb port into a text file.
there are some other handy javaloader options as well, take a look.
