Cannot connect to network due to unsigned MIDlets

Hello all,

I have a MIDlet that uses httpConnection to communicate over the network. Here's my problem. T-mobile requires the MIDlet to be signed in order to use the network, otherwise throwing a security exception upon launching the httpConnection. I am able to sign the JAD/JAr before making the .cod files, however, the RAPC tool doesn't support the certificates that are in the JAD file after signing. How do you suggest I go about using the network in my MIDlet????

Re: Cannot connect to network due to unsigned MIDlets

The BlackBerry does not have carrier restrictions for making HTTP connections.  What exception are you receiving?

Re: Cannot connect to network due to unsigned MIDlets

The exception is : "java.io.IOException: Open tunnel - failure". Note that this code works on a ATT 8100 and not a T-Mobile 8100.

Re: Cannot connect to network due to unsigned MIDlets

I seem to have found a solution. Apparently the handset I was working on did not have APN settings setup for the network. Setting this up seems to have solved the networking issue.
