Clarification re: ESS usage

Can someone verify that they have actually used ESS WITHOUT downloading and installing ESS outside of Eclipse?

Someone suggested that this can be done, and the directory structure inside the 4.6.0.1 ejde pluginseems to indicate that it can, but the simulator options only indicate the use of MDS (not ESS).

I can use ESS when install outside and launched first before running my app in debug mode inside eclipse.

Re: Clarification re: ESS usage

You can manually run the ESS using the batch files in the Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpack4.7.0_4.7.0.53\components\ESS directory.  There is no shortcut to launch it since the MDS Simulator can be used for the same task.
