Colour emulator

I received graphics for a BlackBerry application.  The designers uses 24 bit colours which will result in  shades on RIM devices because they only support 32 colours for red and blue and 64 for the green.

I tried to emulate this on Photoshop by adjusting the curves multiple times separately for R, G, and B.  I got a similar output to what I see on RIM, but still not 100% the same.   I want to know if there is a tool from RIM that I can suggest to the graphic designers to directly test their graphics to see how will they look like on a RIM device.

Re: Colour emulator

I don't believe there is a tool besides the simulator/actual device. The screens are 16bit (RGB565) so if you can encode the image in that manner and then display it you should get the same effect.
