Hello,

I want to know that to access internet through third party applications is it necessory that the BlackBerry Data service must be active or enabled on your network provider? Also can anyone describe exact scenario for accessing the network thrugh the third party blackberry applications. Also what in case of WiFi.

Also is there any support to get event for Blackberry Data service notifications (whether it is active or not on your network)?

you can use http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/6.0.0api/net/rim/device/api/io/transport/CoverageStatusLis... to be notified about changes, or http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/6.0.0api/net/rim/device/api/system/CoverageInfo.html#isCov... to do a check.

Thanks for the reply simon, still i have one querry, does your network needs data plan compulsorily to access the internet through third party apps?
