Re: Directions on map or map field on OS 7.0 Simulators?

Hi Pradeep

I am able to show directions by using MapField on OS 7.0. If you let me know what exactly you need in this, I can help you out. Moreover I am using https://maps.google.com/maps to get the locations arrays by passing address, lat & long

Re: Directions on map or map field on OS 7.0 Simulators?

Thanks for your reply,

Actually I am able to draw directions in 6.0 Or less OS simulators.

But in 7.0 OS I Cant.

My requirement is I need to draw directions from current location to some fixed location using blackberry native maps ,not google maps.

I know one way, that is creating a bitmap(by drawing directions on the bitmap) image using Mapfield, after that I am showing that bitmap.

Here the disadvantage is the user unable to zoom-in zoom-out  that.

If you have any other solution please share with me.

I will appreciate your help.

Thanks.

Re: Directions on map or map field on OS 7.0 Simulators?

Hi

As I informed you before, I am using google maps to get roadmap points in the form kxml. By parsing these values, I am able to run the same code in 5.0 and above devices. And moreover I have implemented the same as yours. I have my buttons to zoomin & zoomout as well. Since I didn't use the Blackberry native maps, I can't give more on this.
