this week the next release of Eclipse 3.6 (Helios) will be available.

any info about getting an update of BlackBerry Eclipse Plugin ?

I tried to test while Helios Milestones are out but it didn't work because of Plugin version ranges < 3.6 M7 etc.

there are so many enhancements made for Eclipse 3.6 and I'm doing all my development work (with exception of BlackBerry) since M6.

I'm also working on a UI generator using Xtext 1.0 and Xpand/Xtend 1.0 (all part of Helios) to generate BlackBerry UI. (will become open source)

I guess the Eclipse plugin does not work on Eclipse Helios..? I was gonna try, but I search the forum first for any clues whether its gonna work or not.

I tried it with some milestones of helios

and it didn't work because of version-ranges of the plugins

I didnt't tried it with 3.6 final - was waiting for an answer here

asked also on monday at blackberry dev day in hamburg,

but got no answer when it will run under helios

many changes in helios can be used in galileo as well, just use the update functionality.

the eclipse plugin is usually bound to a certain eclipse version as it integrates pretty deeply. you will have to wait for a new version.

Also waiting for a new eclipse plugin for Eclipse Helios. I tried to run it in Eclipse Helios by patching files by hand, but couldn't get it to work. When trying to build, all specific RIM instructions were red marked.

it works better the unofficial netbeans plugin
every time netbeans got an update I have no wait, simply update the ide...

probably some of you should consider to switch to netbeans

Any news on Helios support for the BB 1.1 Plugin?

Another question: Has anyone been able to integrate it with Netbeans 6.9?

perhaps at DevCon2010 in SFO  Plugin 2.0 will be presented with UI designer, Eclipse Helios, OSX support etc.

...or am I only dreaming ;-)

btw: Ill be there at DevCon

I would be happy even for a beta version of the plugin that would work with 3.6
