I just did a fresh install of Eclipse last night, and added the BlackBerry plugin from the usual update site.  Much to my surprise, I only found BlackBerry Java SDK components for the following BB OS versions:

4.5.0, 5.0.0, 6.0.0, 7.0.0, 7.1.0

Missing from that list are:

4.6.0, 4.6.1, 4.7.0

Please fix the site.

This is expected.  4.6.0, 4.6.1, 4.7.0 are no longer available for download.  These users can upgrade their BlackBerry 5.0.

The application market share for these versions is extremely low.  The entire 4.x codeline current makes up only 6% of free downloads and 3% of paid downloads.

i have to say, this is a really bad decision.
especially in an enterprise environment customers are sometimes VERY reluctant to upgrade their devices.

In fact we develop some new applications still with a 4.2.1 baseline, usually we take 4.5 as this is the lowest eclipse offered. or should i say, used to offer?

getting users to upgrade their OS is good, but forcing developers to abandon older OS versions is a bit too much.

I'm had same problem today when installing 1.5.0 Eclipse plugin.

Possible solution: download older SDK versions via Eclipse 'Install new software' from

Blackberry Eclipse 3.5 update site

This works for me, 4.6.0, 4.6.1, 4.7.0 SDKs loaded succesfully.

Also, when importing projects from 1.3.0 version, project packaging errors may be occured.
