Re: Error: Supplied contact isn't linked for this application.

I need a fix for this NOW.

I also have an app that manipulates (and deletes) contacts. Running into the same issues brought up in this thread. My users, U.S. Federal Court judges, some of whom recently upgraded to, or received Torches, ARE NOT HAPPY.

Anything that can be done to expedite getting this OS update out would be greatly appreciated.

RIM May not be to happy about this but if you really need it:

What a dilemma - wait for the legitimate update or install cracked software on a judge's device? I think I'll pass. I like being employed, lol. :smileytongue:

BTW, the link to to that forum post is still valid ... but the link within the post no longer works (pulled due to copyright, imagine that!)

Re: Error: Supplied contact isn't linked for this application.

Half a year passed by. Brand-new developer IDE released.

* run a 9800 simulator from this IDE

* add a contact through "Contacts"

* remove a contact

* the same exception as stated in the beginning of this topic: IllegalArgument. Not good.

Not sure, but maybe it happens in other simulators, not only 9800.
