Facebook search without Facebook SDK ?

I would like to extend my free app with a facebook search.

With Linked In I could just call the BlackBerry browser with a suitable search URL. There is a search URL for the Facebook too:

https://graph.facebook.com/search?q=FIRSTNAME%20LASTNAME&type=user

But as I understood an access token is needed to be able to call it.

What would be the easiest way to get the access token and be able to call that URL? Is it possible  with a few lines of java code?

Can somebody understanding how Facebook SDK works just sketch what those lines would be? I understand that this sounds a bit cheap, but it would be great to get away with this cheaply :-)

The API is documented here https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/

I have installed the Facebook SDK (of the strawberry flavor :-) ) and registered a facebook application, so I have my application ID. Strawberry example works. This seems to be overkill however to have all this code for a simple search. Also because of the extensivenenss of the framework (respect to the author!), it is harder to adjust it than to write a new one for my task, I guess. I have a hard time navigating through that code as I am a novice in development.
