Re: HTTPpushDemo not working?

There is a lot of information here and a number of questions that may or may not be answered.  I'm not clear on what you really want to know.  Can you ask number the questions that you want answering to make it more obvious to us?

With regard to the need to open the Browser, you will see from the readme for httppushdemo, that this is a required step.

With regard to your last point, what OS Level are you trying this in?  Remember that pre OS 5.0, pushes are only received when the application is running.

Re: HTTPpushDemo not working?

I had similar problems with this after installing Blackberry java plugin. I got that same error also I did everything according to the readme.

I managed to run the HTTPPushDemo successfully after I excluded the automatic launch of MDS together with the simulator in the run configuration and started the MDS independently. So I first launched my simulator, then startet the MDS manually, then opened a website in the simulator, then started the server side push application. Then it worked fine!
