An earlier post said something to the effect "I believe that we cannot read the video file while it is being written."

Do we know for sure that a separate thread cannot read the video file at the same time the file is being written?

I would imagine that the data is not even in the file while it is being recorded, at least until memory fills and it dumps it into the file. If that's the case, even if u could get a handle on the file before the recording process was done with it, the data in it would always be lagged. That's just a guess though.

There is once only solution. I was the first developer to make a real streaming live video using BlackBerry for Next2Friends.com. You must parse the rim file create during video recorder
