How to LOCK device to prevent usage in case of device lost/stolen

Hi, Im trying to implement a feature so the device can be remotely locked in case of the device is been lost/stolen.

Is there a way to do this? Probably setting a password to unlock it or unlock it programatically again.

Thanks

Re: How to LOCK device to prevent usage in case of device lost/stolen

You can use the ApplicationManager.lockSystem method to lock the device.  There is no way to programmatically set a password.

FYI what you describe is a feature of BlackBerry Protect:  http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/protect/

Thanks Mark, I was exploring the lockSystem method, it solves my case, I guess I will have to enforce a password with IT policies or use the BES to set a new one.
