How to invoke keys from home screen 6.0 and above

Hi Guys,

Actually key invoking is not working from home screen on Blackberry 6.0 and above version.

How to handle that?

Thanks,

Re: How to invoke keys from home screen 6.0 and above

Thanks for your quick reply.

From background application, while device is in home screen i try to invoke keys like "123" or "tyu" using  below code

EventInjector.KeyEvent down = new EventInjector.KeyEvent(EventInjector.KeyCodeEvent.KEY_DOWN, keys, KeypadListener.STATUS_NOT_FROM_KEYPAD, 0);
EventInjector.KeyEvent up = new EventInjector.KeyEvent(EventInjector.KeyCodeEvent.KEY_UP, keys, KeypadListener.STATUS_NOT_FROM_KEYPAD, 0);
EventInjector.invokeEvent(down);
EventInjector.invokeEvent(up);

It doesn't invoke. how to do this?

Thanks,

Re: How to invoke keys from home screen 6.0 and above

it is entirely possible that RIM disallowed event injection on the homescreen. I know that they did that with a couple of key components to address security issues.
