How to send an email using BlackBerry API.

Hi all,

as topic, do you know if BlackBerry offer some API to send email?
If yes what OS are supported? For example OS 4.2 or higher?

Is there some guide on how to use this API?

Please use plain text.

Re: How to send an email using BlackBerry API.

Have you actually looked for some information on doing this yourself?

I suggest you do, and please do so before posting questions in general.

I would look at the developers guide, search this forum, and the KB.  I think you will find information that will help you do what you want in all three places.

You are right,

I founded what I need with a better search but now I've got a problem.

How to send an email using the default email address configured in the blackberry?

On this topic no one answered.

Re: How to send an email using BlackBerry API.

public String getEmailAddress()
    {
        String emailAddress;
        try {
            Session ourSession = Session.getDefaultInstance();

            emailAddress = ourSession.getServiceConfiguration().getEmailAddress();
        } catch ( Exception e ) {
            emailAddress = null;
        }
        return emailAddress;
    }
