How to specify the WAP parameters to use when opening an HTTP connection.

[ Edited ]

Again I have one question:

I tried "HTTP Demo" which is inclued in JDE to specify the WAP parameters to use when opening an HTTP connection.

I'm in China and China Mobile provide both 80 & 9210 ports for WAP Gateway: 10.0.0.172.

I installed "HTTP Demo" application on my BlackBerry 8300 which is already activated with BES.

1.in WAP options: Gatewap IP: 10.0.0.172 Gateway: 80 APN: cmwap ource Port: 8205 Source IP: 127.0.0.1

2.checked "Use Wap Stack" in the menu 3.try to connect: http://wap.monternet.com, but failed with error: "net.rim.device.cldc.io.waphttp.WAPIOException"

But if I use Gateway Port: 9201, I can access http://wap.monternet.com.

So it seems the Port 9201 can work, but Port 80 cannot work. Any possible reason? How to identify this is the code problem of carrier network problem?

Please verify the WAP gateway parameters your account has access to with the carrier.  They can restrict the type of connections made through their WAP gateway.
