How works cypher in america? I know that strong cypher is forbidden in America but...

[ Edited ]

Hi,

I'm using some well known cypher algorithm to encrypt my password,

sent from the phone to servlet.

The blowfish cipher uses a 448bit shared public key, is it illegal in america?
How this restrictions works?

Am I allowed to cypher my password using 448bit blowfish in america?

Thanks.

I'm not a legal expert but did a little search and found http://www.firstbackup.com/Product/Features/blowfish.asp and it says it's legal.
