I have looked at the USBdemo application and it works fine. We are successfully using it as a logger to send application logs and data to our application running on PC.
However, the problem we are facing is that the USBDemo sample application requires that PC initiates the connection to device. This is a problem for us since we need to ensure that application on device is running before we start the PC side application. If device side application restarts, PC loses connectivity. We also lose on initial logs if we start PC application after device side application starts.
What we would like to do is that device to initiate connection to PC software, so even if device application restarts, it re-initiates the connection to PC over USB

RIM has stated that BlackBerrys cannot act as host USB devices. So this is not possible.

No, you didn't get my question. USB Host is a different thing. I am asking if BB can initiate a connection to PC rather than PC initiating the connection.
