Installed Midlet in BB does not show icon on BB Desktop

Hi BB Folks,

I have made a Proof of concept for my application un Java, using Midlets, built in Netbeans Mobility Pack, compiled the .cod with BB JDE 4.2 and runned javaloader (the one in BB JDE)  and it installed successfull the app in the BB. I go to options, applications and I see my app listed but I find no way to run it, or a icon in the BB desktop.

Please, can you give some advice? :smileyhappy:

Thanks in advance.

Many phones are picky about what icons they display, can't remember if BB was fussy or not.

If you go to options-> advanced-> applications you can at least see if your app or module

is there.

marchywka,

Yes, it is installed, i can see it un the app list , but I don´t see a way to run it, neither an icon in the desktop icons.

I´m researching about it and I have not find anything about yet.

I've done many different image sources and use this to make the icon where convert is

a call to imagemagick,

DIMX=45
DIMY=45
if [ "$ICONFILE" != "" ]
then
#cd "$retdd"
echo converting in dir `pwd` to "$TEMP2D"
convert "$ICONFILE" -resize "${DIMX}x${DIMY}!" "$TEMP2D"/icon.png

Please verify that you have changed the project type in the BlackBerry JDE from the default CLDC Application to MIDlet.  To do so, right click on your project, select Properties and then click on the Application tab.

Hi MSohm,

It works, my fault not changing the type of the APP in the BB JDE .

Now I have other error, when I try to run the app:  Error starting APP  'APP' has a verification error 2100 at offse 0b4e,

I´ll take a look in the forum, I remember read something about verification the app somewhere..

Thanks! This is really a great forum!  :smileyhappy:

No problem.  Have a look here for the verification error.

Thanks MSohm,

I verified the article and I have problem with the signature

Whe I compile with BBJDE4.2 the .jad an .jar thatI produced with Netbeans, it gives me this errors:

SVGSplashScreen.java: Warning!: verification failed at opcode offset: 20 cause: found SVGSplashScreen$SplashScreenSvgEventListener where SVGEventListener is required invoking org.netbeans.microedition.svg.SVGPlayer.setSVGEventListener(SVGEventListener) in <init> SVGWaitScreen.java: Warning!: verification failed at opcode offset: 11 cause: found SVGWaitScreen$WaitScreenSvgEventListener where SVGEventListener is required invoking org.netbeans.microedition.svg.SVGPlayer.setSVGEventListener(SVGEventListener) in <init> BlackBerryTExDeploy - no errors. Build complete.

 These area libs from Netbeans Mobility, that gives nice funcionality but something is wrong with this libs,I´ll chek this out in the NetBeans forums.

Thanks for the quick response!

Thanks for the advice, actually, you can change it in the properties of the project in the NetBeans IDE, the example you post is for resize an image?
