Installing OTA gives "Unavailable for this device"

Hello,

I'm developing an app, and people need to test the app before releasing the app in the App World.

So I've uploaded the jad and cod files and let people install the app OTA.

The problem is that someone with a BlackBerry Z10 running the version 10.2.0.439 can't install the app. She has the message "Unavailable for this device" and the browser actually open the jad file as if it was text.

The app was developped about 2 years ago, targeting BB5.0 and I only have a 5.0 and 7.0 devices, which are working perfectly.

What could be the issue ?

Unavailable for this device

Re: Installing OTA gives "Unavailable for this device"

Java does run on the Z10, or any BB10 device for that matter.  So if you want your app to work on BB10 device, you are up for re-writing it.

I could give you more, but if you search round you will probably find out more yourself, but please come back if you have specific questions.

Oh, yes, ok. Thanks !

Nobody around me uses a Blackberry so I didn't even know that...

I guess the easiest way is to port the Android version ?

Yes, that would be be my first choice unless you require access to BB facilities in your app that are not supported by Android runtime on BB10.
