Issues while runnning application in simulator using Eclipse

Hi all,

I am trying launching my app in 6.0 BB simulator. But the lauching itself is taking time(like 5 minutes for loading the app on the simulator). The app is working fine once installed on the simulator/device.

Can I reduced that time?

Is there any settings in eclipse so that BB- specific jars only be loaded at that time.

Unwanted jars is not loaded while lauching the app.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Noopesh

As per my knowledge.
There is not any way that BB- specific jars only be loaded at that time. Unwanted jars is not loaded while lauching the app.

Because, your app compilation, they need the jar that you have added.

Thanks

Re: Issues while running application in simulator using Eclipse

Can you clarify your problem a little. I think you are you saying that the Simulator takes 5 minutes to start up? If you clean the Simulator, you will remove all redundant stuff.  (BlackBerry --> Clean Simulator, when in the BlackBerry App Perspective).  I also find that some Simulators, for example 9800, take a lot longer than others, like 9780, so I debug mainly in a fast one and then use a slow one for testing just that device.

There are various Threads on speeding up the Simulators too - search the forum.

Good luck.
