Live Debugging Doesn't Work

I'm using a Torch 9800 to use for live debugging.  I followed the instructions to debug with the Eclipse 1.1 plugin.  The application signs normally, but as soon as it finishes, the Torch screen flashes "debugger attaching" for a split second , then nothing else happens.  What could the problem be?  I'm at a loss.

Re: Live Debugging Doesn't Work

I've had this happen to me on more than one occasion.  Disconnecting the device, restarting Eclipse and reconnecting the device usually did the trick for me.  On one occasion, I had to also restart my device.  Are you using Mac OS X for development?

No, Windows XP.   I've tried restarting everything and playing with configurations.  Right now I'm reinstalling Eclipse from scratch...

Re: Live Debugging Doesn't Work

I have the same issue.  I will update if I find a solution.

Windows 7 (64bit)

Eclipse plug-in 1.1.2

App is a JRE 6.0.0 project

Torch 9800, OS 6

The screen flashes white for just a second, so I don't know if it says "debugger attaching" or not.  But it does try to do something.

Re: Live Debugging Doesn't Work

I get the same error using the Mac beta. Usually there is a message no the screen that the debugger can't find a library. I get that message twice then it works.

The bigger problem is that all of the variables display as null value, and the debugger occasionally disconnects all by itself for no particular reason, which makes debugging a bit difficult.

Re: Live Debugging Doesn't Work

You can try debugging using JDE as a temp workaround.

On device debugging using Torch does work properly when using JDE.
