Lost files simulating SDCard

Hello!

I was wondering if you could help me know where my files went.

I was simulating the SD Card on a simulator and when I was adding the SDCard (Simulate > Change SDCard > Add Directory ) I selected a wrong folder.  I selected My Documents folder.

What I did was clicking on Delete button on the same SD Card window.  It deleted my whole MyDocuments folder.

This happened a week ago, and I tried to search for the documents and they're not found.  I tried running some programs as well.  They are not found.

Have you had this problem before?

Do you know if the files might still be there?  The thing is, my disk space is the same as it was before deleting that folder and it was where I saved everything.

Please let me know if you have had any issues or know about this.

Thanks!!!!

Aren't the files in your recycle bin?

No. Deleted. Windows don't put deleted files in the recycle bin if the files deleted by a program.

Re: Lost files simulating SDCard

That's a bit of a problem. I'd suggest trying a restoration tool like Recuva.

Re: Lost files simulating SDCard

Hello,

same happened to me today. Big problem! Once you have selected a wrong folder you may never delete it there, or all your data will be lost. You can try to use a disk recovery tool. For my luck was, that I have a fresh system I'm using just for for BB development.

Should definitely make this a sticky.

NEVER HIT THE DELETE BUTTON ON THE "CHANGE MICRO-SDCARD" DIALOG BOX.
