Except for a few rough edges the RIM api seems to be streets ahead of either midp, lwuit, or j2me polish.
Given that the RIM api is so extensive and well designed, what will RIM do to make it "the" ui that everyone ports to other devices?
Would a net_rim_api.jar ported to other platforms help cement RIMs position in the market? RIM has something that neither Sun or others have ... so what are they going to do with it?
