MapsLocationPicker creates another gui instance

[ Edited ]

In my app and even in the demo ( http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/18125/Location_picker_1192886_11.jsp ) if you choose the MapsLocationPicker  for the LocationPicker, once you choose the "Select Location...." in BB Maps it is giving me the location information but it also creates another instance of the app called "gui." Please see pictures:

Before selecting "Select Location...." in BB Maps:

Afterselecting "Select Location...." in BB Maps:

after selected

My code is pretty much similar to the demo app. All my listener does is get the coordinates of the location selected so that can't be it. The only thing that looks maybe odd is the constructor on the MapsLocationPicker is the demo.

http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/6.0.0api/net/rim/device/api/lbs/picker/MapsLocationPicker....

shows different than the demo:

 LocationPicker.Picker mapsLocationPicker = null;
mapsLocationPicker = MapsLocationPicker.getInstance();

I tried using the other constructor but no matter what I do it says it isn't visible.  Does anyone know why it i doing this?

Re: MapsLocationPicker creates another gui instance

Nevermind. I'm going to go with Invoke and a menu item instead.

Re: MapsLocationPicker creates another gui instance

Yes I noted this as well, so started my app using "gui" which overcomes the problem.  However I actually think invoke and a menu item is a better solution.
