Re: Max Size for Image in res??

We know from the article I linked to that it won't support > 8M, but I guess that is not the quesiton you are asking.

You could test and tell us the results.  :smileyhappy:

Re: Max Size for Image in res??

the maximum size of resource data is 64KB, which includes all the images and related files "PER .cod FILES".
If your application exceeds the .cod file size i.e. 128Kb It breaks into multiple .cod files(max 127 .cod files) of max size 128kb.

THEORETICALLY YOU CAN HAVE ONLY 8MB OF RESOURCE DATA(i.e. images and other stuffs).

All i would say is manage your resources well. Blackberry doesn't bother image quality, as screen size of most phones is small.

Re: Max Size for Image in res??

i have now image in resource  file "bg.png"

it's size is 207 k
and it run successfully
so  i think it support 256 k per file
and the track  is per.cod it must be less than this 256 k

so when u but and resource exceed this limitaion  it  can't zipped into .cod file  and not supported to sperated

Re: Max Size for Image in res??

I suspect big.png will be split up over multiple cods and reassembled on device.

Re: Max Size for Image in res??

Thats why the app must be crashing. Since the png is broken into various fragments, its impossible for the compiler to re-assemble them.
